What is the Purpose of Home Health Care?

The aim of home health services is to minimize the effects of illness and insufficiency by achieving the most accurate treatment by minimizing the daily living conditions and at the same time improving the quality of life of the patient. This service is necessary for patients whose treatment is carried out at home and who are in ongoing care.

With this service;

   * Follow-up of treatment

   * Performing assays

   * Renewal of mission reports

   * Implementation of medical care and rehabilitation services at the patient's home

   * Social and psychological support is aimed.

How is the application to home health services?


     Home health care services are provided by family physicians, home health units established in hospitals and mobile teams within the health directorates. It is known to call the Ministry of Health 444 38 33 from home health services for free services.

       Home health care is the provision of the health services needed by bed-dependent and chronic patients in the home environment and with an expert staff. This service provides follow-up and implementation of the treatment arranged to the diagnosed patient instead of diagnosing the patient.


Who Can Benefit From Home Health Care?


    The priority group in the group that can receive home health care is the group of patients who should be hospitalized because of chronic illness.

To this group;

 * Disabled and elderly patients who are unable to walk and cannot meet their needs and are fully dependent on the bed (such as Alzheimer's, dementia, paralysis hast),

 * Those who have undergone major surgery,

 * Those in need of wound care, injection, infusion and other short-term nursing services among orthopedics and traumatology patients,

 * Those with advanced muscle disease, diabetes, heart, vascular, hypertension and neurological diseases,

 * Palliative care patients with terminal, cancer (oncology) patients,

 COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and so on. other patients with lung and respiratory system diseases and who require oxygen therapy,

 * Spastic children,

 * Patients who have not lost their mobility, who are not bed-dependent, who can go to any health institution and whose health problems do not constitute very severe pictures cannot benefit from home health services.
